Spencer Sabelhaus 5th Grade, SHES	Nolan Cummings 5th Grade, NHES

South Hancock Elementary hosted the District Governor's Cup competition on March 1, 2014 where five elementary schools presented some of Hancock and Meade County Schools' brightest students.  Overall, South Hancock Elementary won second place and North Hancock Elementary came in at third place.

At the Regional Competition held at Custer Elementary School in Breckenridge County, South Hancock ranked 8 out of 16 schools from Hancock, Breckenridge, Meade and Grayson counties.  Spencer Sabelhouse placed first in Mathematics for South Hancock Elementary and Nolan Cummings placed fifth in Language Arts for North Hancock Elementary.
