I was hired in the Hancock County School District in the fall of 1997.  Upon hire, I served as a Title I teacher at Hawesville Elementary for two years and worked in every grade level.  After that time, I was trained as a Reading Recovery Teacher and taught Reading Recovery for five years.  In my last year teaching Reading Recovery, I also taught one class of half day Kindergarten.  This school year (2021-2022) will begin my nineteenth year in Kindergarten.  My passion is, and I suppose always will be, with the younger students!  There is nothing that blesses my heart more than seeing these little ones absorb so much new learning.  I am blessed to work with some of our district's youngest students and in a district I proudly call home!
