Fueling the Minds & Filling the Hearts of Our Students

Our Mission Statement: Hancock County Schools Food Service is dedicated to fueling the minds and filling the hearts of every student in a loving, safe environment one healthy meal at a time.

ALL STUDENTS RECEIVE ONE BREAKFAST AND ONE LUNCH AT NO CHARGE FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR.

Our district is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program. The CEP provision is available to schools with a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students. Under CEP all students receive breakfast and lunch at no charge for the entire school year. However, all families are highly encouraged to complete the household and income form (HIF) during online registration. Continued funding for district-wide programs depends on the information collected from this form. Additionally, the HIF is used to determine eligibility to receive additional benefits for your child(ren). These additional benefits include reduced or waived school fees and other exemptions based on income.

To complete the HIF, when online registration begins, log in to Parent Portal, and on the left-hand side, click More, click Meal Benefits, and then click the blue Click Here to start completing the form.

Paper forms are available, but may take up to 10 days to process. If you have any questions about the Household and Income Form, please call Hancock County Food Service at the Hancock County Board Office at 270-927-6914.
